Music has a way of turning ordinary moments into memorable ones. Whether you're heading out on a road trip, discovering your next favourite artist, winding down after a long day, or looking for the perfect soundtrack to a night with friends, the right playlist makes all the difference.
That's exactly why I built this Spotify collection.
Curated, Not Calculated
Streaming apps are very good at guessing what you'll tolerate next. They look at what you've already played and serve you more of the same, which slowly narrows everything toward the middle of your taste.
These playlists work the other way. Every one of them is built by a person making choices, including choices you might not have made yourself. They're sequenced like records rather than shuffled like feeds: an opening that sets the tone, a build through the middle, the strongest moment about two-thirds of the way in, and a landing that makes you want to start again. If a track is only there to fill time, it doesn't make the cut.
How the Collection Is Organized
Instead of one endless list, the playlists are pressed, sleeved and shelved into crates on the Now Playlists page, so you can dig by mood and period instead of scrolling.
Brand New and Most Recent always hold the latest additions, so they're the two worth checking first.
The Eras is the backbone of the archive: the long-running CRAIGSBECKERMIX collections, built season by season and year by year. Each one captures a specific stretch of time rather than a genre, the songs that were actually in rotation, in the order they made sense.
